Now, connect your wifi extender to power outlet, and then wait for the device’s Status LED to turn green.
Next, click the “Network” icon in the taskbar on your PC, and then look for the available wifi network. Select “Netgear_Ext” from the list of available Wi-Fi Networks to establish the internet connection.
Further, launch a web browser window on your PC to open the Netgear Genie Smart Setup page. You can enter “mywifiext.net” in the browser’s address bar to open the netgear extender login page.
On the netgear extender login page, enter “admin” in the Username field and “password” in the Password field to open the netgear range extender setup page.
Now, choose your Wi-Fi network and click “Continue” to continue the process. You need to enter your network’s password in the “PassPhrase” box, and then click “Next”.
You can enter a new name for your Netgear extender’s Wi-Fi network to secure your home network and then click “Next”. Click “Use the Same Security Mode” option to apply the security settings.
Click ‘Apply’ to save all the settings & connect all of your computers and wireless devices to the extender’s new Wi-Fi network.
Disconnect your Netgear wifi extender from the power outlet and place the device at right location.
